Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.
Ashlee + Jeff were referred to me by some past clients. I love getting referrals and take them as such a compliment! I photographed Ashlee when she was pregnant and then had the great pleasure of photographing them again when their newbie, Walker, was born. Here are some Morehouse fun facts: Ashlee and Jeff are both from Texas. Texans take Texas seriously! And to ensure that baby Walker (whom is named after a county in Texas) was a true Texan he needed to be born over Texas soil. So Ashlee & Jeff’s families made sure they brought some with them when they attended the birth, slid some soil under Ashlee’s delivery bed and VOILA! Walker was born over Texas soil. I love it. This kid will know his roots for sure! Well without further ado, I present one of my favorite newborn sessions to date.
I met the Harris family at their gorgeous row house in Old Town. They had just moved in which is already hard work but with 6 month old triplets (TRIPLETS!) I would think that it would be nearly impossible. Anna & Nick were so fun and relaxed. I would guess that you have to roll with the punches with 3 babies at home and they seemed to do it effortlessly. I loved every moment of this session. What’s not to love? Gorgeous Parents, beautiful babies and a fantastic old house with tons of character in a great part of town. Meet the lovely Harris family.
A few months ago I had the pleasure of shooting a maternity session with a very pregnant Sirena. Her and her husband, Tarek, were patiently awaiting the arrival of their little baby Enzo. A couple of weeks after our session Sirena gave birth to a healthy baby Enzo. He is a sweet, happy little baby and the joy of his parents life. Meet Enzo and proud parents Tarek and Sirena.
This is my favorite age. 6-9 month olds are so happy. Constantly smiling, laughing and learning. Calder is such a sweet boy and I was so happy to have the chance to take his picture again.
The last time I saw the Menkiti family they were awaiting the arrival of the newest Menkiti boy. I love photographing newborns…love.it. Their little cries and sounds and the way they smell. (During a newborn session is the only time it is appropriate to smell a client.) Meet sweet baby Clayton.
